About Aviationics

I'm Hakan. I've been an aviation nerd my whole life, the kind who still looks up when a plane crosses the sky and wants to know which one it is and where it's going.

I'm not a pilot. I'm a photographer. I spend a lot of time at the fence with a long lens, chasing planes, and I write about that side of it over at Photocultivator. But the more time you spend around aviation, the more you realise how much of it goes unexplained: the routes, the incidents, the reasons behind the things everyone sees but nobody talks about.

That's what Aviationics is for. It's aviation explained for people who never lost the wonder, the ones who light up when a widebody rotates off the runway and want to actually understand what they're looking at. Accurate, but not dry. The stuff I'd tell a friend who asked "wait, why does it do that?"
